Saudi Gazette A mother is the most special person in our life. She is the most important person in our family. In fact, imagining a life without a mother is impossible. She is the God's most blessed and sweetest gift to us. A mother's job is anything but easy. She does not only take care of our physical needs that is by changing our diapers when we were babies, or cooking food for us, or taking us to school, and you know the list is endless, but she also takes care of our emotional needs. Mothers are there in our times of jubilation, but then who isn't? It is when we feel bad or get hurt by something or someone, it is that special person who comes to our rescue, to hold us, to make us feel better, to wipe away our tears and drive away all our fears. It's not only when we are young that she cares for us, but she worries for us even after we grow up and start going to universities, and thinks, prays and loves us all the more long after we move away to work or to get married. Our Pre-nursery teacher in our play school was not our first teacher. Our mother at home is our first teacher. They are the ones who teach us how to walk, talk, eat, drink, dress up, etc. because otherwise oh, boy! we would have been a bunch of hooligans if our mothers were not around to teach us basic etiquette. In May, “Mothers Day” is celebrated throughout the month on different dates in different countries. On that day, children put on their best behavior, take good care of their mothers and some give her gifts too, to show their mother how much she means to them. But, honestly, one day in a year is not enough to thank her for all the tedious tasks she undertakes for us over the years. We should be taking care of our mothers every day, give her gifts often and not just only on Mothers Day or Birthdays. There are lots of ways to make your mother feel special. You can make her a cup of tea in the evening, give her feet a gentle massage in the night when she is tired after a day's work, make her a simple meal, or a craft, etc. You don't need to spend a lot to put a smile on your mother's face, simple things can mean the world to her. Although, her selfless love for you will always be there, you give her something or you don't. Saudi Gazette spoke with a few children, who shared their deepest and precious feelings for their mothers. He said,” Mom, I Love you so much. Many things and many people in my life have mattered to me, and many of these same things and people have also affected me in some profound, meaningful, and permanent way. Regardless of this, there is one person in my life who has done more for me than anyone else, my mother. It seems that almost everyone thinks that their particular mother is the best one, and they cite thousands of wonderful reasons that make them feel this way. It is undoubtedly true that there are many wonderful mothers out there, and they are all very important to the people that love and care for them. Even though I believe that my mother is great, I never mean to imply that she is better than other mothers. She is, however, better for me .Guillanan C Fernando, a 6-year-old American national in Montessori, said, “Mom, you are so special, kind and loving. You are so thoughtful and caring, you have taught me many good things. I am what I am because of you and I would like to thank you for everything. She taught me how to read and write. She still helps me in my homework. She has taught me good manners. She has also taught me to always try my best, to treat everyone equally, not to give up when things get hard. She always tells me to be honest, lies always hurt. She instills the importance of family and of doing well at school in me. When I make decisions and she doesn't always agree with them, she makes sure that I know the reason behind it and that it is for my happiness. She has taught me right from wrong and the significance of self-respect. She is not only my mother but also my friend. I don't have words to thank my Allah for giving me such a precious gift. Khidra Nadeem, a Pakistani national studying in Grade 5, Pakistan International School, Jeddah, said, “ Of all the people in the world, my mother loves me most, and I also love her from the core of my heart. When I am sick, she spends sleepless nights by my side. When I come first in my class examination, she is the happiest person on Earth. My mother is an ideal woman in my life. I feel myself fortunate for being born as her daughter. She is very anxious about my health, my education, and my prosperity. I feel that there is no other person nearest to the heart than a mother in this world. I thank Allah for giving me such a caring, loving and a very special mother. __
