Experts, including psychologists and social workers, have cautioned students who are to sit examinations all over the Kingdom Saturday against drug traffickers and peddlers who exploit the season to promote their trade. They say the distance between the school and home is the most dangerous as the peddlers wait for children there and use various tricks to them, especially the teenagers, into the abyss of drug abuse. First, the drug dealers encourage the students to use fenethylline-containing Captagon pills on the pretext that it will help them to stay awake at night to revise their lessons. Experts have emphasized that the use of Captagon as a stimulant for six months can damage brain tissues and subsequently the user may develop incurable mental diseases. They also warn about the negative consequences of listening to the jokes of hashish addicts because this would make them believe that the addicts are witty people they want to be with all the time. They say teachers and parents are the first line of defense against drugs and they must closely monitor changes in the behavior of their children. -
