Irving was the only unanimous selection in voting by the NBA's 30 coaches, who were not allowed to select a player from their own squads. Irving had 58 points with Rubio second on 49. The rest of the NBA All-Rookie First Team included Denver's Kenneth Faried, Golden State's Klay Thompson and New York's Iman Shumpert, San Antonio's Kawhi Leonard and Detroit's Brandon Knight.
