Five people involved in the Jeddah flood case were sentenced to a total of 14 years imprisonment and SR1,820,000 in punitive fines by the Administrative Court of the Board of Grievances here Tuesday. The sixth accused, an Arab expatriate, was acquitted of bribery charges. The first accused was found guilty of bribery charges and was sentenced to seven years in prison and fined SR1million. The second accused was found guilty of bribery charges and was sentenced to three years in prison and fined SR600,000. The third accused was found guilty of facilitating bribery and was sentenced to two years in prison and fined SR200,000. The fourth and fifth accused were found guilty of facilitating bribery and each of them was given a one-year sentence and fined SR10,000. The judge decided not to confiscate the money paid as bribes. Following the announcement of the sentences, the Prosecutor General requested a copy of the verdicts. __
