The two witnesses who tipped of the Commission for the Promotion of Virtue and Prevention of Vice about a man with an unrelated woman – both of whom died last week in a road collision while trying to flee – are scheduled to appear in court Sunday. One of the witnesses (name withheld), narrated to Okaz the sequence of events. “I was sitting in the front of our porch Sunday afternoon waiting for a friend to pick me up when I saw a woman getting into a Camry without blinking an eye,” said the young man witness who then tipped off the Commission about the incident. “We called the police, but they told us to report the case to the Commission after providing us with the phone number of a Commission's agent.” He said the Commission's agent (name withheld) told them “to follow the car until they arrive.” “We followed them to the outskirts of the city towards Madina. Then the Commission's agent called us and asked, ‘Are you still following them?'” He said they were tailing the Camry car. “We provided him with the car-make, color, and plate license,” he said. “‘We have spotted the car,' the Commission's agent then replied,” the young man said. “A little while later, we saw the Camry coming from the south (Madina direction). A Commission SUV jumped in to obstruct the Camry, but the man swerved and sped away.” The witness said they were watching from a distance when “the Commission SUV started to follow the Camry.” “A few moments later, we saw a smoke cloud. As we approached, we saw the Camry burning under the truck. We got out of our car and saw the two bodies burning to death. There was nothing we could do but cry at that horrible scene,” he said. “We called the same Commission's agent who told us to follow the car, but another man picked up the phone to say, ‘We've lost the Camry.'” He said he has explained all this to the police. __
