Orioles 5, Rays: The Baltimore Orioles capitalized on five errors by the Tampa Bay Rays and got two hits and two RBIs from Adam Jones in a victory. The Orioles were outhit 7-6 and struck out 12 times but scored three unearned runs to forge their second straight win in this series between the two top teams in the AL East. Baltimore leads second-place Tampa Bay by two games and on Sunday will seek to complete its first three-game home sweep of the Rays since July 2007. Red Sox 4, Indians 1: Felix Doubront pitched six strong innings and Cody Ross homered to lead Boston to a win over the Cleveland Indians, giving the Red Sox their first winning streak in May. Blue Jays 2, Twins 1: Jose Bautista homered for the third time in two nights and Drew Hutchison threw six strong innings for his second career win and the Toronto Blue Jays beat the Minnesota Twins. Athletics 3, Tigers 1: Brandon McCarthy matched a career high with 10 strikeouts after missing his last start with a sore right shoulder, leading the Oakland Athletics past the Detroit Tigers. Royals 5, White Sox 0: Luke Hochevar allowed three hits in seven shutout innings and the Kansas City Royals scored three first-inning runs off Chris Sale to beat the Chicago White Sox.
