Ahli Club entered the final of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques Cup of Champions after drawing with Al-Hilal Club 2-2 in the second leg match at Prince Abdullah Al-Faisal Stadium here Friday. The defending champion had won the first leg 1-0. With the one-goal advantage of the first leg, Ahli began with a defensive tactic, relying on fast counterattacks. The tactic paid off as Ahli surprised Hilal and took the lead in the 21st minute. Off a neat corner kick, Mansour Al-Harbi blasted home from inside the box. The Hilal goalkeeper stood rooted watching the ball bulging the net. Hilal soon restored parity through Christian Wilhelmsson in the 23rd minute. Ahli fans held their breath until the 79th minute when Javier Palomino put Ahli ahead by a fine header. The goal made Hilal's already difficult mission impossible as it needed to score two goals.
