President Pervez Musharraf will administer oath to the next prime minister on March 25 at the Aiwan-i-Sadr Islamabad. The president has summoned the National Assembly or lower house of parliament to meet Monday afternoon to elect the new leader of the House (prime minister). All leading politicians will be invited to the oath-taking ceremony of the prime minister, presidential spokesman Maj. Gen. (retd.) Rashid Qureshi said. Meanwhile, Pakistan People's Party (PPP) co-chairman Asif Zardari Saturday met Awami National Party (ANP) president Asfandyar Wali at Parliament Lodges Islamabad to take him into confidence about his party's fruitful talks with the Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM). They finalized the consultation process and discussed the priorities for the next coalition government. PPP leader Senator Raza Rabbani said Zardari and Wali discussed the strategy of the first 100 days of new government, cabinet formation and priorities of the new administration. He said that ANP has no reservations regarding government formation and dialogue with MQM. The party of assassinated former Pakistani prime minister Benazir Bhutto, which is set to lead a coalition government, was set to announce its candidate for prime minister, party officials said. “The consultation process within the party and with the coalition partners on the nomination of the prime minister has been completed,” Raza Rabbani, a deputy secretary general of the party, told reporters. Provincial chief ministers will be elected in the first week of April. The North West Frontier Province (NWFP) Assembly will meet on April 2. Its members-elect will take oath. Later, they will elect the leader of the House (chief minister). Amir Haider Hoti of Awami National Party (ANP), who is being supported by some other parties, will be easily elected as chief minister. Similarly, the Sindh Assembly will meet in Karachi on April 5. Pakistan People's Party Parliamentarians (PPPP)'s Qaim Ali Shah will be elected chief minister of the province. The Balochistan Assembly has been convened to assemble on March 17. PPPP's nominee Raisani will be elected chief minister. __
