Hilal qualified to the semifinals of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques Cup of Champions after drawing with Ittihad 1-1 in the second leg match at King Fahd International Stadium in Riyadh. Hilal will now face the winner of the match between Ahli and Al-Faisaly. Earlier, Ittihad and Hilal drew 2-2 in the first leg match. After a scoreless first half, Ittihad drew the first blood in the 47th minute from a penalty kick by Naif Hazzazi. Sheer bad luck hit Ittihad which almost scored more than one occasion. And quite against the run of play, Adel Garmash leveled the game in the 83rd minute from a long shot. The ball deflected off Ittihad defender Hamad Al-Muntasheri and went into the goal. On Friday, Al-Faisaly will host Ahli in the second leg match. Ahli had earlier defeated Al-Faisaly 5-1 at Prince Abdullah Al-Faisal Staduim in Jeddah. Ahli coach is more likely to apply a different formation. __
