Taweel, vice chairperson of Alwaleed Bin Talal Foundation, recently inaugurated an exhibition of Saudi traditional products at Kuwait Center for Autism in Kuwait City, a press release said Thursday. Sheikh Dr. Mohammad Sabah Al-Sabah, former foreign minister of Kuwait and honorary chairman of Kuwait Center for Autism, co-inaugurated the expo, which was attended by several officials. The event, titled Seleslah Exhibition for Creative Saudi Handcrafts, is sponsored by Alwaleed Bin Talal Foundation and it displays works presented by Faisaliah Women's Charitable Society. "The economic empowerment of women is the foundation for women to earn their rights," said Princess Ameerah while addressing the audience. "This has been successfully achieved by Al-Faisaliah Charitable Society that is chaired by Princess Fahda Bint Saud. The society focuses on economically empowering productive women and families by training them and marketing their products locally and globally. “I am pleased today with the intercultural exchange between Saudi Arabia and Kuwait, more importantly, the Saudi-Kuwaiti humane cooperation since part of the proceeds of this fair goes as an endowment to the Kuwait Autism Center that is renowned locally and globally for its efforts to support all the precious patients of autism."
