Poland's Prime Minister Donald Tusk is scheduled to arrive here Monday to boost trade ties between the two countries. The visiting dignitary will be holding talks with King Abdullah, Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, and other ministers. Bilateral relations between the Kingdom and Poland, ways of enhancing them in various fields, and regional and international issues of common concern would come up for discussions during his meetings. A large delegation of corporate executives and businessmen will accompany the Polish leader. Earlier this week, Dr. Fahad Bin Saleh Al-Sultan, Secretary General of the Council of Saudi Chambers of Commerce and Industry, and Witold S. Smidowski, Ambassador of Poland to the Kingdom, discussed aspects of economic cooperation between the two countries. They noted the significant role played by the business sectors of Saudi Arabia and Poland in bolstering economic cooperation and the role of the Joint Business Council in this regard. Ambassador Smidowski expressed the interest of Poland and its private sector to invest in the Kingdom and benefit from the opportunities offered by various development projects under implementation in the Kingdom. Tusk and his accompanying delegation will meet business leaders at Council of Saudi Chambers Tuesday to discuss investment opportunities and partnership between the two countries.
