Harthi and Ahmad Al-Shumairi Okaz/Saudi Gazette SANA'A – Abdullah Al-Khalidi, the Saudi Deputy Consul General to Yemen who was kidnapped by Al-Qaeda members last month, may be released within the next two days, a tribal chief said Saturday. Tariq Al-Fadhli said he and several other tribal sheikhs are mediating to secure his release. “We have guaranteed his safety and he is all right,” Al-Fadhli said. “Our efforts toward this is the least we can do for the Kingdom and its people. If there are any demands for his release, we will bear the cost.” Maj. Gen. Dr. Abdul Qader Qahtan, Yemeni Interior Minister, expressed hope that the efforts will bring good results soon. __
