Egyptian actress Menna Shalaby is ecstatic that her movie “Post Revolution” is going to be shown at the 65th Cannes Film Festival in Paris. The actress is currently in Paris on a short visit to celebrate this achievement. The film will compete for the “Palme d'Or” or “Golden Palm”, the highest prize at the festival. The nomination of the film marks the return of Egyptian movies after a 15-year absence. The film focuses on the period following the collapse of the Hosni Mubarak regime and the new presidential and parliamentary elections. The young actress hopes that the movie wins the Golden Palm because it will be a great honor for Egypt. The festival starts May 16 and continues for 11 days. An Egyptian movie last won this award in 1997.
