Jeddah-based Aircraft Accessories and Components Company Ltd (AACC) has selected Messier Services, member company of the Safran group, to provide a turnkey solution in support of the development of a military and civil landing gear MRO shop, as part of the new AACC MRO Campus, to be located at King Abdul Aziz International Airport. the turnkey solution agreement was signed Tuesday at the Farnborough Air Show in the United Kingdom, by Muhanna Safar Al-Sufiani, president and CEO, AACC Ltd; and Paul Clifford, managing director of Messier Services UK. Clifford said: “the turnkey solution has been developed through close co-operation and teamwork at the working level and will result in the capability of landing gear MRO for AACC. The excellent relationships and commitment developed during the development phase of this Project will contribute significantly to the success of the Project implementation.” Safar said: “The building of a landing gear facility in Saudi Arabia will assist and support the Middle East region and clearly demonstrates the commitment of AACC to develop high technical skills of the Saudi nationals.” Messier Services provides maintenance, repair and overhaul services for aircraft landing systems and the associated hydraulics. Part of the Safran Group, and has nearly 1,100 employees at plants in Europe, the Americas and Singapore. Messier Services is certified by all relevant constructors and airworthiness authorities for the entire range of repair and maintenance operations on equipment produced by Messier-Dowty, Messier-Bugatti and other leading manufacturers.
