486,505 Saudi tourists spent SR1.68b abroad

About 486,505 Saudis who traveled abroad during the second mid-term school holiday spent over SR1.68 billion. During the same period, 616,586 tourists visited the Kingdom and spent SR1.48 billion, the Tourism Information and Research Center (MAS) announced here Friday.
According to the statistics released by MAS, the Kingdom of Bahrain was the prime destination of Saudis with 145,300 tourists, Kuwait stood second with 91,000 and the United Arab Emirates was third with 80,800 tourists.
Tourists from UAE (92,133) topped the list of those visiting the Kingdom. Bahrain (85,905) came second and Kuwait was in third place with 77,875 tourists.
