Pulling down the first 30-rebound game in the NBA in more than two years, Andrew Bynum made Kobe Bryant's third missed game in a row an afterthought by the time the Los Angeles Lakers finished off the Spurs, 98-84, Wednesday night. Bynum, a 7-footer, became the first player with 30 rebounds in a game since Minnesota's Kevin Love corralled 31 against the Knicks in 2010. Bynum also had 16 points while joining Love as the only two players in the last 12 years to hit the 30-rebound mark. “It's great to have 30 boards, but my shot's not working and I'm little upset about that,” said Bynum, who was 7 of 20 from the field. “For me, I'll remember shooting poorly.” Metta World Peace scored a season-high 26 points, and Pau Gasol added 21 points and 11 rebounds. The previous single-game mark for rebounds in the NBA this season was 25, set twice by Orlando's Dwight Howard and Milwaukee's Ersan Ilyasova. Clippers 100, Thunder 98: Chris Paul scored 31 points, including the winning shot on a layup with 8.8 seconds left, lifting visiting Los Angeles to a victory that kept it in position for home-court advantage in the first round of the playoffs. Kevin Durant missed a 3-pointer that could have won the game. Durant led Oklahoma City with 22 points, and Russell Westbrook scored 20 despite shooting 3 for 14. The West-leading Thunder have lost four of six games. Blake Griffin added 16 points, 12 rebounds and 7 assists for Los Angeles. Celtics 88, Hawks 86: Paul Pierce overcame a miserable shooting game with a key jumper in overtime and Rajon Rondo finished with 20 assists, 10 points and 10 rebounds to lift surging Boston at home. Kevin Garnett had 22 points and grabbed 12 rebounds before fouling out with just under three minutes left in overtime. Jeff Teague led Atlanta with 21 points, and Josh Smith had 20 with 11 rebounds. Nuggets 113, Wolves 107: Ty Lawson scored 24 points, including four free throws in the final 17.6 seconds, to help host Denver hold on against a Minnesota squad that was missing the All-Star forward Kevin Love in the first quarter. Love sustained a head injury early in the game after taking an inadvertent elbow to the head from Nuggets center JaVale McGee, who went up for a shot. Love was going to be kept overnight at a hospital as a precaution. 76ers 93, Raptors 75: Thaddeus Young scored 17 points, and Philadelphia beat Toronto, an important victory in its chase of a playoff berth. The visiting 76ers avenged a 21-point home loss to Toronto last Wednesday. Pacers 104, Cavaliers 98: Danny Granger scored 23 points, 5 in overtime, and George Hill made a 3-pointer in the extra session, lifting Indiana. David West scored 19 points for Indiana, 6-1 in its last seven games. Jazz 103, Rockets 91: Gordon Hayward scored a season-high 29 points and Utah helped its fading playoff hopes. Houston, which started the night in the sixth in the West, had a four-game winning streak snapped. Grizzlies 104, Suns 93: Rudy Gay scored a season-high 32 points and host Memphis won its fourth straight. Zach Randolph had 17 points and 9 rebounds for Memphis, which won for the ninth time in 11 games. Hornets 105, Kings 96: Jason Smith scored 22 points, hitting 10 of 12 shots, to lead New Orleans at home. Marco Belinelli added 21 points for the Hornets. Other results: Knicks 111, Bucks 107; Trail Blazers 118, Warriors 110.
