Enabling works deal for Damac Heights granted
Published in The Saudi Gazette on 19 - 07 - 2008

Damac Properties, the largest private master developer and luxury lifestyle provider in the Middle East, has appointed Zetas ATS Foundation Technology as the enabling works contractor for its Damac Heights project, located in Dubai Marina. The enabling works will begin July this year with completion scheduled for June 2009. Damac has awarded nine contracts in 2008 till date worth over AED1.14 billion.
Damac Heights is a 98-storey residential tower located in Dubai Marina, and was Damac's first self- branded tower. Overlooking the Palm Jumeirah, Damac Heights will house penthouses, duplexes, and 3, 2 and 1 bedroom apartments. The tower will offer the ultimate in luxury amenities such as health clubs for men and women, steam facilities, a gymnasium, swimming pools, nursery and day-care centers, a barbecue area, banquet area, golf simulator and games room. Residents can look forward to coming home to a private cinema, personal gymnasium, indoor swimming pool, jet spa, among others.
Peter Riddoch, CEO, Damac Properties, said “delivery is the most important aspect of a real estate deal, UAE's property boom lead to high demand and shortage of construction facilities. To overcome this challenge, Damac is employing extra resources to ensure Damac customers get their homes as quickly as possible. Work is in progress in all of our projects; this year alone we have awarded contracts for nine projects and we will be awarding more contracts in the near future. “
Earlier this month, Damac Properties announced its plans to deliver over 2300 units in 2008, followed by additional 7100 units in 2009/10.
He further said “Aedas, our concept architects for this project, is an internationally renowned firm recognized worldwide for their creative building design consultancy services. Both our partners on this project have extensive experience and high credibility and we are confident that this expertise will assist us on delivery a unique, high-end project.”
Damac Holding has now grown into a global conglomerate with more than 7000 employees in 18 countries. __
