year-old expatriate worker, came back to life after being pronounced dead at King Fahd Hospital in Tabuk. Nasser was found unconscious on the street Wednesday morning and three individuals took him to the hospital. The doctor examined him and said he was dead because there was no detectable pulse and his lungs had stopped completely. A specialist doctor and medical team performed cardiopulmonary resuscitation on Nasser one hour after he was pronounced dead and he came back to life. Hassan Al-Fifi, acting director of the hospital, told Al-Watan Arabic daily that when the patient arrived at the hospital, his heart and lungs were not working and his blood circulation had stopped. “He was provided with first aid and his heart started beating again, thanks to Allah the Almighty.” Cardiac arrest cases require fast intervention so that the patient does not suffer brain damage, Al-Fifi said. What happened to this patient is very unusual given the long time he remained without a pulse, he said, adding that the patient is recovering gradually.
