Qatif Municipality inspectors confiscated six tons of chicken meat from a butchery found violating health standards, Arabic daily Al-Sharq Al-Awsat reported Sunday. Khaled Bin Ali Al-Dosari, the municipality chief said that the butchery had been defrosting, deboning and then refreezing the chicken, which makes the meat unsafe for consumption. Additionally, 4,000 kilograms of chicken with no production dates and 2,000 kilograms of inedible chicken were confiscated and destroyed.
