Adel Fakieh, Minister of Labor, has said that companies falling in the Nitaqat red zone will not be able to renew the work permits for their expatriate workers unless they rectify their situation. As per the details released on the minister's FaceBook page Thursday, the companies falling in the yellow zone will not be able to renew the work permits for expatriate workers who have stayed in the Kingdom for more than six years. No such conditions, however, apply to the companies in the excellent and green zones. Workers in the red zone companies will not be able to get their work permits renewed. However, they can secure a transfer to an excellent or green zone company, if their present companies do not take measures to rectify their status. __
