During the oath-taking ceremony, Frameworks Photography Club members were challenged by Philippine Ambassador Ezzedin Tago to sustain their interest in photography not only as a hobby but also as a way to enhance their skills and career while in the Kingdom. Tago noted that the present generation of Filipinos overseas enjoys more disposal income than the ones who came before them, and encouraged Frameworks Photography members to focus on saving up for their eventual reintegration back home. “I urge you to take advantage of SSS (Social Security System) and Pag-IBIG benefits while you are in the Kingdom,” Tago told Frameworks members, referring to the social insurance program for private sector workers and the shelter financing program for Filipino workers. Tago urged club members to speak with SSS and Pag-IBIG Fund representatives who hold office at the Philippine Embassy during regular working hours. He also exhorted the Filipino community to register as overseas absentee voters as early as possible and stressed the importance of participating in the electoral exercises. Founded by Jeffrey Almendras in October 2011, the Frameworks Photography Club aims to “unfold aspirations and aptitude in photography, proffering a perceptible emblem to distinguish Filipino artistry.” Its current president is Noel Magalit.
