Kobe Bryant's partnership with Andrew Bynum continued to blossom Tuesday as the Lakers duo carried Los Angeles to a thrilling 116-111 double overtime victory over the Memphis Grizzlies. The seven-foot (2.13m) Bynum powered his way to 37 points and 16 rebounds, while Bryant tallied 34, nine rebounds and five assists to give the Lakers (26-16) a rare road win against a top Western Conference team. One game after Bryant had deferred to Bynum for a final shot in Los Angeles' close win over Boston, the tandem combined on a game-ending 10-2 run after the Grizzlies had led by three with about two and a half minutes to go. Marreese Speights had 25 points and Marc Gasol added 20 for Memphis (24-17), who led by as much as 17 in the third quarter before watching the Lakers storm back. Magic 104, Miami 98: Dwight Howard, the major subject of transfer talk as the NBA trade deadline nears, scored 24 points and grabbed 25 rebounds to lead the Orlando Magic over Miami in over-time. Jameer Nelson added 25 points, including two layups late in over-time, while J.J. Redick scored 17 points and Ryan Anderson had 16 points and 12 rebounds as Orlando won for the second time in three games with Miami this season. Dwyane Wade scored 28 points to lead Miami while Chris Bosh added 23 points for the Heat and LeBron James added 19 points, 11 rebounds and eight assists. The Heat will have a chance to avenge the loss at home Sunday against the Magic but by then Howard — who enjoyed his eighth 20-point, 20-rebound night of the season — might be playing elsewhere. Rockets 104, Thunder 103: With both their starting guards sitting out and no momentum at all after the All-Star break, the Houston Rockets got just the kind of victory they needed to break out of a second-half slide. Courtney Lee and the rookie Chandler Parsons each scored 21 points, Patrick Patterson blocked Serge Ibaka's point-blank put-back attempt in the final two seconds, and Houston charged back from an 11-point deficit in the final three minutes to beat the Thunder in Oklahoma City. Nuggets 118, Hawks 117: Nene scored 22 points, Ty Lawson had 21 points and 7 assists and host Denver rallied to beat Atlanta in overtime. Pacers 92, Trail Blazers 75: Lou Amundson scored a career-high 21 points to help host Indiana snap a four-game losing streak. Mavericks 107, Wizards 98: Dirk Nowtizki scored 27 points, Jason Terry had 24 and host Dallas got a much-needed victory. Raptors 96, Cavaliers 88: Jerryd Bayless scored 20 points and Toronto slowed host Cleveland's playoff push.
