Prince Mohammed Bin Saad, Deputy Emir of Riyadh region, inaugurates the 28th Unified GCC Traffic Week 2012 at King Abdulaziz City for Science and Technology in Riyadh Sunday. — SPA RIYADH – Prince Mohammed Bin Saad Bin Abdul Aziz, Deputy Emir of Riyadh region, inaugurated here Sunday the 28th Unified GCC Traffic Week 2012 entitled “Let's work together to reduce traffic accidents” at the headquarters of King Abdulaziz City for Science and Technology (KACST). Upon arrival at the venue, the Prince was received by Dr. Mohammed Bin Ibrahim Al-Suwaiyel, KACST President and Prince Dr. Turki Bin Saud Bin Mohammed, KACST Vice President for Research Institutes. Prince Mohammed Bin Saad then opened the Exhibition of Traffic Safety held on the sidelines of the GCC Traffic Week. In a press statement, the prince said that the GCC Traffic Week aims to raise awareness among citizens about traffic regulations. About 20 people die everyday in traffic accidents. Last year, 544,000 accidents took place in the Kingdom.
