JEDDAH – Saudi Telecom Co. (STC) won the Middle East Excellence Institute award for outstanding management of institutional communications and media outreach of Datamatix International, in recognition of its role in promoting the strategy for institutional communications and PR, excelling in reactivation of media reach-out, sustaining communications' identity and transforming Saudi society into informatics based on science and knowledge-based economy. The award was received by Mohammed Al-Rashidi, Manager of Media Center at STC, on behalf of the company from the guest of honor Dr. Fahd Al-Sha'alan, the Director General of King Fahd Security College in a ceremony at Burj Al-Arab hotel, on the sidelines of the institute's annual conference. Ahmed Al-Kamali, the Director General of the Middle East Excellence Awards Institute, said STC has won the award on internationally recognized criteria for selecting the best appreciation of its prestigious role for establishing interactive outreach among the civic society and commitment to transparency principle in dealing with media and delivering facts to consumers and customers. He also praised STC for its support to build and develop creative environment and society, and for its commitments in institutional development of competitive strategies for communications directors at governmental bodies and media houses.
