Mutabagani launched her first story for children “Tala and Friends: When the secrets are revealed” at Virgin Mega Stores at Roshan Mall on Wednesday. Hamsa is a full-time mother and production manager with a degree in accounting who for the past two years has held workshops for children and teenagers on the importance of financial intelligence. Her story is an attempt to help children realize their dreams. “Many children and teenagers have beautiful dreams and aspirations that they are afraid to share simply because they lack the skills and ability to pursue their dreams and put their words into action,” Al-Mutabagani said. Wednesday's signing ceremony was a one of a kind event. It was situated in the children's book section of the store decorated with balloons and with a small seating area for kids and no parents were allowed. The children were asked to write their dreams on the front page of their copy of the story before getting it signed by Al-Mutabagani, and later a storytelling session was held. Parents were happy to be able to spend useful quality time with their children. “We rarely find an intellectual activity for our children on the weekends in Jeddah so we are happy to find something that does not involve simply playing or eating and is still fun,” said a couple who brought their daughter to the launch of the children's story. Al-Mutabagani together with Dr. Lily Al-Barakati and Riam Darwish have established The Dreamz Catcher, a small company which provides products and services which help children overcome the difficulties they face, through a series of short stories. “Only by being able to stand up to problems can children achieve their hopes and dreams,” said Al-Mutabagani. “Our main goal is to help children tolerate difficulties, accept others, learn to be giving, and believe that they are all special in their own way.” The Dreamz Catcher's first story for children is published in both Arabic and English making its way into every home by not being designed for a specific culture. __
