Yemeni President Abdo Rabbu Mansour Hadi has paid tribute to the efforts and wisdom of King Abdullah, Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, for having prevented further disintegration, conflicts and infighting in Yemen. In his first interview with a Saudi newspaper since becoming president, Hadi told Okaz/Saudi Gazette that he and King Abdullah will discuss ways to strengthen Yemeni-Saudi relations during his upcoming visit to the Kingdom. “The Yemeni army has achieved considerable success in cornering and pursuing terrorist elements in a number of Yemeni governorates but the crisis that Yemen has witnessed has resulted in a weakening of the economic structure.” Hadi also confirmed his determination to revive the Yemeni economy to help the country recover so that it can rise and forge ahead towards a better tomorrow. He underscored the right of the Yemeni youth who led the change to draw up their aspirations for a unified, secure and stable Yemen, within a national dialogue that includes all the Yemeni people from Al-Mahara to Saadah. Hadi said the Yemeni people are looking forward to the Conference of Donors and Friends of Yemen which will be hosted by the Kingdom this month . “We attach great hopes to the results of the conference within the sphere of the regional and international mobilization to help Yemen survive the crushing crisis,” Hadi said. __
