Korean Ambassador to Saudi Arabia, Kim Jong-yong, said Monday his country's participation in the 27th Janadriya Festival for National Heritage and Culture was an honor and a rare opportunity for Korean culture to meet with the Kingdom's pioneering Muslim and Arab culture. In a statement to the Saudi Press Agency, the Korean ambassador said: “The Republic of Korea realizes the importance of participation as a ‘Guest of Honor' in these activities that consolidate bilateral relations and ties between the two countries in economic, political, social and cultural aspects. They also bring the peoples closer and increase mutual understanding between them.” He said his country “realizes that the annual National Festival for Heritage and Culture, which is organized by the National Guard at Al-Janadriya, is an important historic event in the field of culture and traditions and shows the deep care of the government of the Kingdom under the leadership of King Abdullah, Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, for heritage, culture and authentic Arab values.”
