seeded Spaniard David Ferrer won his third straight Acapuloc ATP title Saturday — and his third title of 2011 — with a 6-1, 6-2 victory over compatriot Fernando Verdasco. Ferrer, ranked sixth in the world, added the title to the one he captured a week earlier in Buenos Aires, and his season-opening victory in Auckland. Eighth-seeded Verdasco was appearing in his first final of the season and had no answer to Ferrer, who did not face a break point as he wrapped up the match in 69 minutes. Italy's Sara Errani lifted the women's title, rallying for a 5-7, 7-6 (7-2), 6-0 victory over compatriot Flavia Pennetta. Errani also won the doubles title with partner Roberta Vinci, becoming the first player in nearly two years to win the singles and doubles at the same WTA tournament. Anderson upsets Isner In Florida, South African Kevin Anderson toppled top-seeded John Isner 7-5, 7-6 (7-4) Saturday to reach the ATP final at Delray Beach, where he will face Australian qualifier Marinko Matosevic. Matosevic, ranked 173rd in the world and appearing in his first career ATP tour semi-final, beat Israel's Dudi Sela 5-7, 6-4, 7-6 (9-7). He faces a tricky task to overhaul the seventh-seeded Anderson, after the towering South African came out on top in a battle of big servers. Matosevic, 26, became the first qualifier to reach the final at Delray Beach since Evgeny Korolev, who was runner-up to Mardy Fish in 2009. Hsieh wins Malaysian Open Taiwan's Hsieh Su-Wei became the first Asian winner of the Malaysian Open Sunday when her opponent Petra Martic retired with exhaustion after playing both her semifinal and final matches on the same day. The unseeded Hsieh beat the fifth-seeded Croat 2-6, 7-5, 4-1. Earlier Sunday, Martic beat second-seeded Jelena Jankovic of Serbia 6-7 (5), 7-5, 7-6 (5) in a semifinal lasting more than three hours. Rain triggered a suspension of play Saturday at the Bukit Kiara Equestrian and Country Resort.
