Allah said: “And give glad tidings to those who believe and do righteous good deeds that for them will be Gardens under which rivers flow. Every time they will be provided with a fruit there from, they will say: “This is what we were provided with before.” And they will be given things in resemblance and they shall have therein purified wives and they will abide therein forever.” (Qur'an, 2:25) The Qur'an mentions some scientific facts about Heaven the place of eternal bliss. Health means to enjoy the comforts of life with a sound mind in a sound body. Disease means impairment or failure of normal functioning of an organ in the body. Let us shed some light on the exogenous and endogenous causes of diseases and find through the Qur'an and Sunnah about their elimination from the Heaven. Among the exogenous causes are burns, injuries, fractures or dislocation of a limb. The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: ‘Vigorous in faith are for the Heaven …Verily there is no danger whatsoever in the Heaven…' (Al-Baihaqui from Osama Bin Zaid) The chemical factor of disease include metallic poisoning, inorganic poisoning, etc. As far as metallic poisoning is concerned Allah said, “Trays of gold and cups will be passed round them, (there will be) therein all that the one's inner-selves could desire, all that the eyes could delight in, and you will abide therein forever.” (Qur'an, 43:71). These metals carry no corrosion and hence there would be no poisoning. Various diseases occur from water and milk due to the presence of lacteous bacilli in the latter and bacteria in the former. However, Heaven will not have such diseases, it will be free from micro-organisms, and their taste will remain the same. “The description of Paradise which the Muttaqûn have been promised is that in it are rivers of water the taste and smell of which are not changed; rivers of milk of which the taste never changes; rivers of wine delicious to those who drink; and rivers of clarified honey (clear and pure) therein for them is every kind of fruit; and forgiveness from their Lord. (Are these) like those who shall dwell for ever in the Fire, and be given, to drink, boiling water, so that it cuts up their bowels?” (Qur'an,47:15) Furthermore, the Qur'an says about wines in heaven, “Wherefrom they will get neither any aching of the head, nor any intoxication.” (Qur'an, 56:19) __
