Fewer citizens are going overseas to have their coronary bypass surgery done, indicating strong confidence on national cardiac surgeons and the modern medical facilities now available in the Kingdom, according to a leading consultant cardiac surgeon. Because Saudi Arabia now has capable consultant cardiac surgeons and state-of-the-art cardiac facilities, the number of citizens going abroad to undergo cardiac surgery is decreasing, said Dr. Farouk M. Oueida, Chairman of Cardiac Surgery Department of the Saud Al-Babtain Cardiac Center, considered one of the most advanced cardiovascular facilities in the Kingdom. __
