The Bahujan Samaj Party leader and Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Mayawati on Sunday spoke to the Telugu Desam president and United National Progressive Alliance convener N. Chandrababu Naidu amid the speculations that BSP might join the UNPA. Naidu received the call during his Mee Kosam Yatra in Khammam district on Sunday. According to the sources the two leaders discussed the political situation arising out of the withdrawal of support from the UPA government by the left parties over nuclear deal. It was significant that she talked to Naidu soon after holding talks with the CPI-M general secretary Prakash Karat in Lucknow Sunday. Both the meeting and the telephonic talk were important as after Samajwadi Party of Mulayam Singh Yadav parting ways with the UNPA and joining hands with the UPA, the left and the NPA have started building bridges with the BSP. According to the TDP sources, Naidu was planning to bring BSP and the left parties into the fold of the UNPA to make it stronger to provide an alternative to both the Congress and the BJP. Meanwhile, K. Chandrasekhara Rao, president Telangana Rashtra Samiti (TRS) said his party will vote against the UPA on the issue of nuclear deal. He said that Congress had no moral right to seek the support from the TRS. The party has two members in Lok Sabha. __
