The latest skincare, aesthetic products at JeddaDerm 2012
Published in The Saudi Gazette on 21 - 02 - 2012

The latest aesthetic industry insights and technologies in the region will be seen at the 6th Jeddah Dermatology & Cosmetics Conference (JeddaDerm 2012) from Feb. 20-23 at the Jeddah Hilton Hotel. This was announced by Kalium Group of Companies, a leading regional distributor of advanced medical equipment, aesthetic devices and skin care products.
JeddaDerm is one of the leading trade shows in the fields of dermatology and cosmetics in Saudi Arabia. The conference brings together dermatologists and other related healthcare professionals, who will share the latest scientific advances to help advance their specializations. The meetings will feature state-of–the-art lectures, panel discussions and interactive workshops. In addition, there will be a comprehensive exhibition of the latest pharmaceutical and other relevant products in dermatology.
Kalium will showcase the whole product portfolio for its aesthetics business unit, highlighting the latest technologies in hair removal and anti-cellulite treatments. The prime focus of Kalium at JeddahDerm will be the Soprano XLI device for hair removal and the Zwave for treating cellulite.
Soprano XLI is the latest generation from Alma lasers for pain-free, hair-free permanent laser hair removal. What's unique about the Soprano XLI is that it provides permanent hair reduction of all pigmented hair on all skin types, including tanned skin. Revolutionary, virtually pain-free Soprano treatments have redefined laser hair removal using the gold standard 810-nm diode and Alma's IN-Motion technology.
Zwave, applied with the German Zimmer machine, is a novel device using the extracorporeal shockwave therapy (ESW), which is the subject of great attention in many recent congresses on aesthetic medicine. The ESW focuses on the use of high-intensity sound waves to tone the skin and treat cellulite. ESW is specifically used to treat cellulite as it increases the microcirculation and lymphatic drainage. Studies have shown that there is an increase in skin thickness and strengthening of the connective tissue after even a few sessions of the treatment. The acoustic wave process works by increasing circulation, collagen production and tissue elasticity; the end result is considerably smoother skin.
The Kalium booth will feature other aesthetic devices and equipment, including: Accent Elite, Accent Ultra, Harmony Xl, Rioblush, Dermafrac, Lipivage, Permalip and Umma Jeuness.
“Kalium Group of Companies is regularly keen to provide significant appearances within Saudi Arabia through JeddaDerm to highlight the latest technologies for dermatologists and professionals in the field of aesthetics.
We are also dedicated to educate our consumers on our products and their usage through an open dialogue between them and our professional practitioners and doctors,” said Mr. Nazih Khattar, Managing Director at Kalium Group of Companies.
The group has a well-earned reputation for reliability in the field of anti-aging medical devices, medical equipment and skin care products across the Middle East. The company focuses on in-depth research, excellent customer service, comprehensive training and after-sales service.
All these have made Kalium a trusted partner for physicians and skin care specialists.
