Al-Madina RAMADAN is the month of giving, generosity, love and loyalty. When we fast, we can relate to the suffering of other human beings who have been living in horrible conditions and cannot find something to eat. That is why people rush to donate and give in Ramadan and some prefer to pay Zakat in this holy month. Donation and giving are two qualities that can only be seen in people during Ramadan. Everyone wants to donate and help others. The forms of giving vary. Some dedicate a large chunk of their time to help others, while some offer to teach others free-of-charge, some donate money to the poor, some volunteer, etc. Regardless of the kind of giving, we all feel overjoyed when we help others in Ramadan. It is a special feeling. We give and donate money because we want to, nobody is forcing us to do it, and there are no conditions attached. We give with love and passion and feel very happy that we have given something to others, whether this something is money, time, gift, etc. The happiness of giving is like no other; nothing can describe it. In fact, nothing can be compared to the smile on the face of a Muslim who has been given something as donation. The giver will always remember this smile. We should remember that there are things, other than money, that can be given to our fellow Muslim brothers and sisters. Moreover, we should all, well-to-do and middle-income earners, be generous and give, even if the giving is a small amount of money. We should encourage one another to give and spread hope and optimism and warn against evil. This is the best time to donate and give. We should not procrastinate. Let us make advantage of the doors of charity that are open to us.
