AL Salem Johnson Controls (YORK) held a seminar for the Royal Commission in Al Jubail, recommending the development of the HVAC equipment design standards, using technologies that enhance energy efficiency. It also conveyed a clear message on the importance of adopting advanced technologies in the Royal Commission's projects, as well as introducing (YORK) products and solutions that feature enhanced energy efficiency. The Royal Commission's engineers specialized in operation, maintenance, installation, design, and all those involved in the field of energy conservation attended the seminar. The event highlighted the most energy-consuming equipment and the need to reduce electricity exhaustion; most notably for the HVAC systems, as they account for 70% of total energy expenditure. "Al Salem Johnson Controls is keen on introducing smart products and solutions that help increase energy efficiency by applying related standards, regulations and specifications for best outcomes on energy sustainability and conservation. In addition, we are working on increasing energy efficiency through developing smart solutions with a very competitive edge», said Dr. Mohanad Al Shaikh, CEO of Al Salem Johnson Controls (YORK). The discussion also highlighted major issues on energy saving technologies in Screw Air Cooled Chillers, especially the Variable Speed Drive (VSD) technology and its impact on energy efficiency; in addition to the (E-Coated Microchannel Condensers) and their impact on energy saving and their efficient performance in high ambient conditions, such as the Kingdom's climate; especially during summer, assuring the products' optimum operation for both residential and commercial projects. Aiming to improve performance and reduce energy consumption of the HVAC systems, the latest supporting controls systems and central plant optimization solutions were also showcased as an optimum solution to additional performance improvement and increase reduction in total consumption to their lowest rates. Al Salem Johnson Controls (YORK) aims to cooperate with the government sector and companies operating in the energy sector, including the Royal Commission of Al Jubail, in a step to contribute to implementing the Saudi Vision 2030.
