[gallery size="full" td_select_gallery_slide="slide" td_gallery_title_input="IDB Group signs agreement with Education Ministry to develop teachers' capabilities" ids="145270,145271"] JEDDAH — The Islamic Development Bank Group (IDBG) and the Ministry of Education have signed a cooperation agreement to develop the capabilities of teachers. The agreement, signed on the sidelines of the 42nd Annual Meeting of the Islamic Development Bank Group, aims to share experiences and solutions with member countries, and enhance cooperation between the IDB Group and the ministry to implement the IDB Scholarship Programme. It also aims to develop a proper framework to enhance collaboration between the IDB Group and the ministry to achieve objectives of mutual interest. The Group and the Ministry will consult with one another on all pertinent issues to support each other's efforts towards the development of education. Seminars and workshops on general education issues will be organized with focus on ways to enhance mutual coordination and cooperation to promote the role of the private sector in supporting education and the efforts of the ministry and member countries in developing the education sector. The agreement was signed by Minister of Education Dr. Ahmed Al-Issa and IDB Group President Dr. Bandar Hajjar. Islamic Development Bank Group supports the development of the education sector in member countries and Muslim communities in non-member countries. The IDB Group has so far spent more than $4 billion on the development of the education sector.
