THE General Command of the Security Aviation of Saudi Arabia's Ministry of the Interior carried out a rescue and medical evacuation mission for a Canadian man after his health deteriorated while he was on board a vessel off the Kingdom's coast in the Red Sea. The Civil Aviation Command said that an elderly Canadian passenger was onboard the SEVEN SEAS VOYAGER ship crossing the Red Sea in the direction of Safaga, Egypt, when he suffered a deterioration in his health condition, which required immediate transfer to a specialist hospital for advanced medical care. The crew of the ship asked for immediate help from the Border Guard, which in turn requested the support of the security aviation to evacuate the patient. One of the General Command of the Security Aviation airplanes began a rescue mission on board the deck of the ship, which was 35 nautical miles off the shores of Shuaiba, and took him under medical supervision to Prince Muhammad Bin Naif Naval Base in Jeddah accompanied by his wife. From there, he was transferred to a specialized hospital for treatment.
