Saudi Gazette JEDDAH — Jewelry Salon Exhibition 2017, the most luxurious jewelry exhibition in Saudi Arabia, will be inaugurated by Prince Abdulaziz Bin Faisal Bin Abdul Majeed Bin Abdulaziz Al Saud on Monday at Jeddah Hilton Hotel. The four-day exhibition includes participation of 50 exhibitors from 10 countries. The president of the Organizing Committee Ms. Haya Sunaidy said "the volume of participation in the exhibition demonstrates the importance gained by the exhibition currently under economic shifts, and the direction of many to gold jewelry as a safe haven investment." She noted that the exhibition includes latest industry experts around the world in terms of manufacturing and innovation. She added that the kingdom is fourth in world in terms of consumption of gold jewelry, valued at SR50 billion. The exhibition provides exhibitors chances of opening of branches, or set up partnerships with local houses. She said that the exhibition consists of leading international companies from France, Britain, and Italy. "The exhibition also plays a role in refinement of Saudi talent during the jewelry exhibition through "design competition" this year," she added. Mohamed Dubayan, Deputy General Manager, Mjuah Jewelry Abez, one of the sponsors of the competition, said the competition aims to highlight the creations of talent and an shift from hobby to a professional skill. The competition will include Jeddah and Riyadh, where interested persons are required to submit their CVs for screening, before the selection of candidates.
