Thrilling ties order of day in JPL event

JEDDAH — Jeddah Premier League Season-10 entered the quarterfinals stage following thrilling encounters here. The teams advancing are: KSA Green, Reliance, Challengers CC, Gladiators, Bhatkal, FCT, Yorkshire and Nazar Guys
The tournament, being held under the umbrella of Saudi Cricket Centre (SCC), started with 40 teams. The tournament is sponsored by Dream India Group, a real estate development company from Hyderabad. Among the co-sponsors are: Sunshine School from Hyderabad, India, Mahmood Saeed Beverage Industry, Elite Business Group, Paradise Hotel, Parvaz Hotel, Bawarchi Hotel, Khind, Halwani, Fusion 9 and Nestle.
Jeddah Gladiators: They are at the 1st position. Their net run rate is best among all the teams. Their batting line up is very strong. Asif, Abdul Manan and Rifaz have super track record and have hit centuries in the tourney.
Challengers CC: They are in their finest form since from the beginning of their matches. Harris, Yakub, and Feroz have shown all round performance in their previous matches.
Reliance: Started with a record total with 302 runs in their initial match and are favorites of the tourney,
KSA Green: Winning all the matches and qualified for the quarters with the help of a strong bowling line up Sarfaras, Mudassir and Mohammed Idrees.
Morning Session
Reliance downed Azizia XI by 77 runs. Reliance posted 151-8 in 16 overs. Azizia XI managed 80. Sahil of Reliance was declared the Man of the Match for his 3 wickets. Whereas Maaz scored 32 runs in 18 balls
Challengers CC humbled Coastal Gladiators by 84 runs. Challengers CC put on 152-7. Coastal Gladiator were bundled out for 68 in 9.3 overs. Feroz was declared the Man of the Match for his 4 wickets.
Jeddah Gladiators thumped ICC Royals by 149 runs. Jeddah Gladiators recorded 230-3 in 16 overs. ICC Royals tallied 81 in 13 overs. Rifaz hit a brilliant 102 in 35 balls with (4 boundaries and 11 sixes) and was named the Man of the Match. Afsar 50 and Manan 45 boosted the total.
Nazar Guys routed R.C. Mangalore by 3 wickets. R.C. Mangalore tallied 122-7 in 16 overs. Nazar Guys (123/7) reach the target in 14.1 overs. Fainas of Nazar Guys was adjudged the Man of the Match for his 4 wickets.
Hyderabad Warriors made 123 in 15 overs against KSA Green, who easily made 124-4 in 13 overs. Sarfaras was the Man of the Match for his 6 wickets haul. Rishan 41 runs in 25 balls and Yousuf 40 runs helped to win the game.
Afternoon Session
Yorkshire beat Gulbarga by 2 wickets. Gulbarga posted 149/9 in 16 overs. Yorkshire won with a last-ball boundary and scored 152/8 in 16 overs. Latif was adjudged the Man of the Match for his brilliant all round performance — 56 runs in just 24 balls and 4 wickets.
Bhatkal (BCA) posted 103/5 in 16 overs against Jeddah Cricket Kings, who were bowled out 61 runs in 12 overs. Bhatkal (BCA) won the match by 42 runs. Shahbaz was Man of the Match for his 3 wickets.
FCT edged UBCC by 24 runs. FCT scored 138 in 16 overs. UBCC then could score only 114 in 15.2 overs. Irfaz bagged Man of the Match award for his 72 runs in 39 balls (4x6 and 6x5).
