Okaz/Saudi Gazette DAMMAM — A Saudi girl who was reported missing in Germany on Monday has been found, Saudi Ambassador Awad Al-Awad has said. Al-Awad said the 16-year-old girl was visiting Germany with her family. "The girl went out of their hotel room in Bonn at 6 a.m. Monday for a walk, but she failed to come back. There have been several cases of Saudi women and girls going missing in foreign cities, including London, Cairo and Paris. There were such reports from Turkey, South Korea and Georgia in the past. In 2012, Kingston Police in southwest London found a 16-year-old Saudi girl who went missing for three days. The girl had gone out of school and never returned home. The girl's parents reported her missing and the police had posted on their official website and social media accounts of the missing girl. The police later found her and returned her to her parents. In 2015, the Saudi Embassy in Egypt received reports of a Saudi girl who went missing in Cairo. In 2016, a girl escaped from her family vacationing in Turkey and fled to Georgia. The case made headlines in local and foreign media for several weeks. In July 2016, two girls were reported missing in Paris. The girls told their families that they were going to the restrooms at the airport and never returned. They have not been found yet.
