THE Consulate General of Pakistan, in collaboration with Movenpick Hotel, Jeddah is in the midst of giving final touches to the Pakistan Food Festival at Movenpick Hotel, Jeddah on March 8-9, 2017. The event will mark a month-long Pakistan Day celebration along with Pakistani cuisine in cultural and regional genres. The two day festival will offer, Movenpick Hotel, Jeddah visitors a rich and memorable culinary journey of the regional Pakistani ambiance, as guests will be able to see the art and culture of Pakistan through its products. They will then embark on a wide range of popular and traditional Pakistan delicacies. Bringing the experience to life, guests will enjoy live BBQ cooking stations. Folk/Sufi Instrumental and raffle draws will also be significant features of the food festival. Consul General Shehryar Akbar Khan said the event will showcase authentic Pakistani cuisine. The Consulate has organized a successful Kinnow (Mandarin) tasting event which showed popularity of Pakistani products in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The Pakistan Food Festival will further strengthen cultural bonds between the two countries. The Commercial Counselor said this year the festival has a special significance as it is opening as part of our Pakistan Day celebrations to mark the special occasion with festivity, where taste meets culture with authentic flavors. The opening day is by invitation only, he added.
