Carlton, Bahrain welcomes Jean-Paul Dantil as the new General Manager responsible for the overall hotel performance and operations. Bringing 20 years of hospitality experience, Dantil will continue to grow the hotel's prominent position within the local, regional and international markets. Dantil joined The Ritz-Carlton Bahrain from The Ritz-Carlton, Vienna, where he served as the general manager for two and half years. With an Argentinian father and German mother, Jean-Paul grew up in-between the UK and Switzerland, where his passion for hospitality developed, leading him to graduate from the Centre International de Glion in Montreux. Prior to joining The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company, Dantil opened the famous Das Stue hotel in Berlin, which was recently voted as one of the top 10 hotels in Germany by Tripadvisor and Condé Nast Traveller. In 2002, Dantil, together with several partners opened up a successful hotel supply and procurement business in Dubai, which allowed him to refine his knowledge of the region's hospitality scene. However, his real passion for hotel operations meant a move back to Europe in 2011. Dantil admitted he was excited to return to The Middle East and to the Kingdom of Bahrain in particular. "I am thrilled to join The Ritz-Carlton, Bahrain. The hotel is a remarkable property that I grew to admire and love during my previous stays as a guest, for its business and leisure travel offerings, beautiful outdoor landscape, fine art and culinary offerings. I look forward to working closely with the international hotel company in driving to the top of the Kingdom's hospitality scene." — SG
