ZAIN Saudi Arabia selects Ericsson for 5-year digital transformation evolution

ZAIN Saudi Arabia has selected Ericsson to transform its technology infrastructure to meet the needs of the future digital frontlines. The end to end digital transformation will bring vital improvements in customer experience and equip the customers with necessary stimuli to react, be exposed and benefit from a larger array of services grounded through a seamless managed service back-stage performance by Ericsson.
The deal was signed in by Peter Kaliaropoulos, CEO of Zain Saudi Arabia, and Ali Eid, Head of Ericsson Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Jordan and Palestine, in the sidlines of Mobile World Congress 2017, held in Barcelona.
In a deal valued around $70 million over 5 years Ericsson will be responsible for IT Managed Services, Application Development and Maintenance. Ericsson MS team presence alongside Zain Saudi Arabia operations team will create a link between the current situation and the to-be desired operational position by implementing a joint roadmap to achieve this sought operational efficiency which contributes to enhanced customer experience.
Zain Saudi Arabia has taken another leap forward towards the continuation of their digital transformation journey to create a smarter technology management infrastructure that will synergize consumer behavior with top-notch customer service fronts. Zain Saudi Arabia today announces that it has entered into a Technology and Digital Transformation partnership with Ericsson.
The end-to-end digital transformation will bring vital improvements in customer experience and equip the customers with the necessary touchpoints to get exposed and benefit from a larger set of products and services grounded through a seamless managed service ‘back-stage' performance by Ericsson.
The five-year deal pushes the promise made to the commitment and focus of the first phase by instilling further the mindset of customer centricity that Zain Saudi Arabia is building up through this technology transformation project with Ericsson. Zain will work more effectively and efficiently while being ready to offer the exciting new digital services.
