Zahra neighborhood›s main entrance in Madinah has become a big problem and major obstacle for the people, since its establishment 20 years ago. The road lacks asphalting for seven kilometers and has no lighting. The district also suffers from a low level of environmental sanitation and the spread of barns, foul odors and insects among the residents. Despite repeated demands to the municipality of Madinah by residents to remedy the situation and provide services nothing seems to work. Mohammed Al-Jabri said official complaints made by residents of the neighborhood for more than three years to the municipality is to upgrade the area and address the lack of services. He hinted that the biggest hardship they face is the worn-out roads that lack asphalt, forcing them to go around taking different paths and drive longer distances to reach their homes. Al-Jabri called on the mayor to expedite the asphalting of the entrance, and end the eternal suffering of the area. Director of Public Relations and Information of the Municipality of the downtown area Khaled Mutaab explained that the plans for the neighbor is new and work to complete the asphalt and paving is in progress as well as installing lights all in close coordination with the agency of projects at the municipality. He announced the inclusion of asphalting the rest of the roads according to available budgets under to the National Transformation Plan 2020. Implementation of the hygiene in the district, he said, was carried out according to the approved operational plan by the General Administration of Hygiene which includes identifying compressors that work regularly, as well as the supply of workforce according to the municipal potentials which aims to serve the business.
