RIYADH — Indian Ambassador Ahmad Javed said, "More than 3 million Indians living in the Kingdom have clean image who are known for their diligence, hard work and loyalty. And we should sustain this while working for the development of both ours and the host countries." He made this statement while addressing the employees of Telecommunication Consultations India Limited (TCIL), Riyadh. TCIL welcomed Indian Ambassador at their office and feted him on assumption of his office at the Indian Embassy. The ambassador recalled India's cordial and friendly relations with Saudi Arabia. He said Indians respect and abide by the local laws and regulations. They are the largest Indian passport holding community living outside the country. He also thanked all the concerned Saudi authorities for their continued support and cooperation. He appreciated the Indian companies in the Kingdom for the great job they are doing with top quality work. Javed thanked TCIL for honoring him and said the Embassy is always ready to help Indians and is open for exchange of ideas for the welfare of Indian nationals working in the Kingdom. TCIL is a government of India undertaking, working in the Kingdom since 1983 and worked under SAGIA since 2001. TCIL executed a number of OSP projects for STC, Mobily, ITC and Saudi Aramco. Among the staff of around 450 employees, 240 are Indians. TCIL is currently working in major projects with STC, Mobily, ITC and Riyadh Metro Consortiums namely FAST, ANM and BACS. It is also supplying technical manpower to Ericsson, NOKIA-Siemens Network and other vendors. They are also executing Telecom and Electricity Projects with Saudi Electric Company. Arun Gupta, regional director at TCIL said, "After the establishment in the Kingdom TCIL has been growing at a steady and consistent pace. We have blend of experienced officials on one hand and on the other hand young and energetic engineers, technicians and other staff at all the levels. The team comprises not only Indians but also various nationalities, who accomplish the activities with team spirit." Arun said, we have bunch of young Saudi and Sudani coordinators and specially mentioned Saudi Sulaiman M. Al-Hazali, director general of administrative relations who is working with TCIL for the past two decades, for his hard work. He said that it would not have been possible for TCIL to grow leaps and bounds in the Kingdom without the support of business partners Mohammed R. Al-Mushari, chairman of the Board of Directors, and Abdullah Al-Barak. "They helped in resolving problems whenever needed." Arun thanked the ambassador and all the attendees and said that Indian Embassy, specially the E&C and community welfare section, has always been supportive to TCIL. Earlier Vishnu K. Joshi, general manager, welcomed the ambassador and the gathering. He introduced the Indian Ambassador to the employees. P. Suresh Babu, project director and Anuj Kumar Arora, joint general manager (F&A), and other TCIL members actively participated in the function. Promod Kumar Agarwal, Second Secretary (E&C) at the Indian Embassy, was also present on this occasion.
