day "Saudi Small and Medium Enterprises Forum" which is organized in cooperation with the Ministry of Finance and by Al Iktissad Wal Aamal Group will kick-off tomorrow (Tuesday) at the Four Seasons Riyadh. Saudi Minister of Finance Dr. Ibrahim Al-Assaf will deliver the keynote speech. Saudi Minister of Trade and Industry Dr. Tawfik Alrabiah, as well as the Saudi Minister of Labor Adel Al-Faqih, will also deliver valuable speeches at the opening session to showcase their ministries role and plans to support the sector and the development of small-and-medium enterprises in the Kingdom. In addition, Engineer Abdullah Alambti, President of the Council of Saudi Chambers, will give a speech at the opening session. About 30 speakers, including government officials, executives and international experts will participate in the discussion of relevant issues, such as, but not limited to, assessing the current situation of SMEs; identifying major impediments to SMEs growth; needed changes to policies, legal, regulatory and business environment; role of various government agencies in nurturing a stimulating environment for the growth of the SMEs sector; and role of big companies in supporting SMEs growth. The Saudi SME's forum is spread on 6 sessions. Headed by Abdullah Al Rajhi, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Al Rajhi Bank, the first session will deal with the role of SMEs as an engine of economic growth, in addition to 4 worksheets introduced by Dr. Ibrahim Alhanichl the General Manager of Credit and Savings Bank, Ali bin Saleh al-Barrak, CEO of Saudi Electricity Company, Abdulkareem Abu Al Nasr CEO of National Commercial Bank, and Vice President of IFC, Dimitrios Tsetseragos. The Saudi SME's Forum will also delegate ways to care and develop individual initiatives and entrepreneurship through a session headed by Dr. Riyadh.
