The strategic partnership between Qaderoon Business and Disability Network and The Ministry of Labor and Social Development plays a key role in implementing the Saudi Vision 2030, Khaled Sindi, Executive Manager of Qaderoon Network, said recently. To coincide with International Day of People with Disability last Dec. 3, the Qaderoon Network executive held a meeting with the Vice Minister of Labor and Social Development, and thanked the ministry for supporting and encouraging the members of the Network. To mark the international event, the Vice Minister honored partner-companies of Qaderoon Network for their conviction in the message of enabling persons with disability and their efforts and accomplishments in supporting, employing, and including persons with disabilities in their companies as productive and effective employees. He also underlined that the Ministry cares and aspires to find effective and appropriate job opportunities for persons with disabilities who are capable of work. The original initiative started with the ministry where they introduced The Business and Disability Network as a model for other companies in employing persons with disabilities. The executive manager of Qaderoon Network, for his part, assured that under the partnership, "we will enable our persons with disabilities in getting proper job opportunities and education that ensures their independence and inclusion as affective elements in the society. We will also provide them with all the tools needed to succeed." Sindi noted that "this emphasizes the commitment of Qaderoon Network and its partners in including persons with disabilities in the workforce." Qaderoon Network was established in 2014 as a non-profit organization and it works on raising awareness for business owners about the shared benefits of including persons with disabilities in the workforce and providing advice to develop the work environment to be more supportive of persons with disabilities. The Network includes the following companies: AlZahid Group, Savola Group, Tamer Group, Almarai Company, Olayan Group, Zamil Group, Nessma Group, Bupa, Dallah Albaraka Group, Attiyah Group, Saudi Airlines Catering Company, and SABB Bank.
