LOS ANGELES — The Houston Rockets shot down streaking Golden State Thursday, ending the Warriors' 12-game NBA winning streak with a 132-127 double-overtime triumph.
Rockets guard James Harden posted his fourth triple-double of the season, scoring 29 points with 15 rebounds and 13 assists.
Harden connected on a three-pointer to put the Rockets up 126-123 with 3:12 remaining in the second overtime and added two free throws with 2:10 left.
Eric Gordon stretched the lead with a jump shot and the Warriors couldn't find an answer after losing Stephen Curry less than two minutes into the second extra session when the NBA Most Valuable Player fouled out having scored 28 points.
The last time Curry fouled out of a game was on Dec. 13, 2013 — the last time the Rockets beat the Warriors.
Kevin Durant tied a season-high with 39 points and Draymond Green just missed a triple-double with 20 points, 15 rebounds and nine assists for the Warriors, who fell to 16-3 — still the best record in the league.
Clippers 113, Cavaliers 94
Blake Griffin scored 13 points and passed for a season-high 11 assists in the Los Angeles Clippers' 113-94 victory against the Cleveland Cavaliers, ending their three-game losing streak.
DeAndre Jordan grabbed 15 rebounds, while Chris Paul scored 16 points and passed for nine assists on a night Los Angeles passed for a season-high 33 assists.
The Cavs' struggles continue. Kyrie Irving scored 28 points and LeBron James scored 16 points, but Cleveland passed for just 12 assists while committing 18 turnovers. It was their most lopsided loss of the season.
Hornets 97, Mavericks 87
Kemba Walker scored 18 points with two clutch 3-pointers down the stretch and the Charlotte Hornets never trailed en route to a 97-87 victory over the Dallas Mavericks.
The Hornets (11-8) led by 11 early in the second quarter but could never put the Mavericks away until the final four minutes.
The Mavericks (3-15) have lost 10 of their last 11. They have the worst record in the NBA and are off to the worst start through 18 games in franchise history.
Bucks 111, Nets 93
Giannis Antetokounmpo totaled 23 points, eight rebounds and eight assists as the Milwaukee Bucks took control in the third quarter and pulled away for a 111-93 victory over the Brooklyn Nets.
Antetokounmpo likely would have had his seventh career triple-double but he sat in the fourth quarter
The Nets (5-13) lost for the eighth time in nine games. Seven of those defeats have been double-digits.
Grizzlies 95, Magic 94
The Memphis Grizzlies rallied from a 14-point, fourth-quarter deficit, and Marc Gasol scored the winning points at the free-throw line in a 95-94 victory over the Orlando Magic.
Gasol finished with a team-high 25 points and added five blocks and three assists.
The Magic (7-12) had a chance to win, but couldn't find a shot with their last possession.
Heat 111, Jazz 110
Goran Dragic scored 27 points and James Johnson added 24 off the bench to help the Miami Heat escape with a 111-110 victory over the Utah Jazz, whose four-game winning streak ended.
Miami (7-12) weathered a late Jazz comeback to earn its third straight road victory.
Gordon Hayward scored a season-high 32 points for Utah — his second consecutive game with at least 30 points.
Utah (11-9) played without its usual starting backcourt of George Hill (sprained toe) and Rodney Hood (hamstring strain).
