Saudi Export Development Authority (Saudi Exports) concluded its participation in The Big 5 for construction and building, which was held in Dubai World Trade Center and witnessed a wide interest in Saudi building and construction products. KSA participation in the event was represented by Saudi Exports to promote local industries and open new export channels for Saudi companies in regional and international markets, as well as continuing the role through which the authority seeks to promote Saudi products and increase market share for the local exporter in global markets leveraging building and construction sector's contribution to GDP. During the four-day exhibition, Saudi Exports showcased national companies in the Saudi pavilion, displayed their production abilities, and highlighted the quality of Saudi building and construction products and their competitiveness among peers from different countries that participated in the exhibition. The Saudi pavilion has seen several official interviews and meetings with the exhibitions participants from investors, to regional businessmen and global institutions, organizations and companies. The event was an opportunity to meet with experts and professionals and individuals interested in building and construction industry from both government and public sectors to establish committed relations, achieve communication, complete business deals and learn about the latest updates and trends in the regional market. Saudi Exports confirmed that the exhibition is considered to be an international manifestation in construction and building sector for manufacturers, contractors, project owners and decision makers. It contributes as well to introducing the regional contracting sector to the opportunities of importing Saudi construction materials, and to give the local companies the opportunity to look into future trends in this sector, discuss available opportunities in the markets, and to exchange meetings with targeted clients. Saudi Exports described its participation in the exhibition as positive, after it managed to provide all kinds of encouragement and fundamental requirements for the Saudi companies participating in the event and its support toward meeting a group of companies and institutions owners, and investors interested in constructions and building sector in the region. Saudi Exports' strategy includes continuing to constantly explore export opportunities in international markets in a further move toward diversification of exports in line with government efforts aimed at promoting non-oil sectors contribution in the national economy. Saudi Export Development Authority seeks to promote exports for national facilities through specialized exhibitions, via an annual plan of international exhibitions, which in turn would be a suitable platform for promoting Saudi products and showing their quality, while offering several services to the participant companies, among which is the designing of the general pavilion for Saudi industries, providing a space dedicated for each participating factory or company, besides many other logistic services aim to open potential markets for export, to communicate with current prospect clients, and to give an opportunity for local companies to learn about different competitors and products for them to develop their competitiveness. The Authority looks toward creating an added value for Saudi manufacturers through its efforts and activities, which reflects positively on national economy in general, and on the growth of national construction business in particular, by stimulating and enabling the companies to develop their business in the international markets, and benefit from the available opportunities through training workshops offered all year round or through participation in specialized international exhibition organized by Saudi Export Development Authority in many sectors, plus bilateral meetings and business forums. — SG
