It's President Donald Trump!
Published in The Saudi Gazette on 14 - 11 - 2016

DONALD Trump won the US presidential elections. He won because he led the electoral campaign in a "smarter" way, while his rival adopted the traditional and stereotype model. Trump was smart enough to read the map of American voters very realistically.
Trump realized that he was speaking on behalf of a majority of white men who feared that their country was being "invaded" by minorities and who were threatening to hijack their jobs. Trump took advantage of this divisive climate and began firing scarecrows one after the other, bewildering the world with his "aggressive" and "shocking" expressions and methods unprecedented in the history of any presidential campaigns.
Although Trump was exposed to the fiercest attacks from the traditional and calculated media campaigns by the American socialists, and was subjected to sharp criticism from his own party and lack of open support from senior figures in the Republic Party; despite all this, Trump won.
Perhaps the most prominent loser in all this is the traditional media industry and public opinion polls for failing miserably in reading what was happening on the political arena and their determination to paint Trump only as "an abnormal phenomenon and not a serious" threat. What happened in the end was just the opposite from all the analyses and interpretations that were presented.
Trump's campaign program was "shocking" for all who kept faith in America's slogans and values and caused panic in the hearts of minorities. It made them review their positions which had made them to migrate to America, the land of freedom. Trump's victory sent a chilling message that extremism, racism and aggressiveness all win and all that was promoted by the contrary is only theoretical.
The results of the presidential election shocked many who always held the image of an ideal America in particular and the West in general.
The United States of America, after Barack Obama was elected as the first American president of African descent, was very much ready to elect the first woman president but voters' mood later changed and they no longer had any sense of reassurance from the traditional political establishment of Hillary Clinton which was considered as the most important factor.
American voters decided to turn against the expectations and likelihood of choosing a woman for the American presidency, like some of the Western countries, instead chose a non-political personality despite being very controversial.
The new scenario is expected to prop up some of the right-wing extremists in Europe and thus one can expect the arrival of Marine Le pen to the presidency of France, who is known for her hardline stances against minorities and immigrants.
Meanwhile, the happiest person over Trump's victory is Russian President Putin whose desire to take revenge on America has been fulfilled. He believes that America supported Mikhail Gorbachev, the former president of the Soviet Union, who contributed to the fall of the Communist bloc and now wants to fight back America by supporting Trump.
The liberal line in the West, which has taken a severe pounding in the US and Europe, seems to be only flourishing in Canada. Today the voice of reason and wisdom in the liberal West is only coming from the young beloved Canadian leader, Trudeau. He does not stop repeating his country's stance of welcoming the minorities and migrants with openness and respect for all religions. He looks forward to keeping an open and free trade agreements with various countries around the world to become an example of justice and equality for all.
The world will come out of the shock that came with the election of Trump, president of the world's most important country, and will deal with the new reality. The man, who was mocked and laughed at by everyone, accomplished the most important deal of his life, became the US president and is laughing all the way to the White House as governor of the world, only to give heartbreak and grief to the people who mocked him!
