Saudi Gazette JEDDAH — Dr. Khalid Al Ghamdi, Imam and Khateeb of Masjidul Haram, lauded the devoted service extended by the India Fraternity Forum (IFF) volunteers to the guests of Allah under the Qadim Dhaifur Al Rahman project of Marakizul Ahyaa. In his address, Dr. Khalid Al Ghamdi delivered before a gathering organized by "Marakazul Ahyaa" to appreciate India Fraternity Forum volunteers for their sincere services during Haj 2016. He also congratulated the Consulate General of India, Jeddah, for their wholehearted support to IFF Haj volunteer service. The Imam and Khateeb of Masjidul Haram, Dr. Khalid said that he has come to know about the various social and community service activities of Marakazul Ahyaa and prayed to Allah to bestow his blessings and abundant rewards to those who took pains to serve the pilgrims. "Serving Masjidul Haram and the guests of Allah are considered as a very noble duty and it is a windfall opportunity to be chosen to serve the guests of Allah which will fetch boundless reward from the Almighty Allah," he said, adding that he hoped and prayed for the continuation of similar services in the upcoming years. Delivering the presidential address Dr. Yahya Mohammed Zamzami elaborated on the social service activities under Marakazul Ahyaa, which runs more than 100 programs serving the society with the largest one among them being the Qadimatul Dhiyouf Ar Rahman (Helping and serving the guests of Allah) that benefits a huge number of Haj pilgrims from all over the globe. Marakazul Ahyaa engages more than scores of volunteer groups serving the community as well, he said while briefed the gathering about the highlights of the IFF Haj volunteer service including the deployment of volunteers after analyzing the requirements at the holy sites. The volunteers were sent to where it was most essential like Arafat, Mina, Makkah, Haram premises, Azizia etc. Dr. Yahya commented that it was the professionalism of the trained volunteers in serving the pilgrims in hot weather conditions that caught his attention. Apart from the Haj navigator application software, well prepared map of Mina and fluency in different languages, besides English and Arabic are an outstanding features of the forum volunteer service. Dr. Yahya also thanked the Consulate General of India for supporting the IFF volunteers for facilitating their service to the pilgrims. Appreciating the dedication of volunteers with prayers, Al Ghamdi also distributed the certificates and mementos to the volunteer captains and volunteer coordinators. Earlier the program began with the recitation of verses from the holy Qur'an by Sheikh Bassar Al Shareef and the function was coordinated by Mohammed Siddiqui, coordinator of Marakazul Ahyaa in Makkah.
